Level 3 Fire Restriction for the County of St. Paul

St. Paul County – As of 3:30 p.m. today, the County of St. Paul has declared a Level 3 Fire Restriction. The restriction reads as follows:

  • No open-air fires.
  • Fire permits may be suspended or cancelled, and no new fire permits will be issued.
  • Safe wood campfires are allowed on private land and in campgrounds.

WHERE IS THE FIRE RESTRICTION?

The fire restriction applies to all areas within the County of St. Paul, including campgrounds.

If you reside in the Town of St. Paul, the Town of Elk Point, or the Summer Village of Horseshoe Bay, please refer to their websites, as their municipalities have the authority to issue fire restrictions should the need arise.

WHAT HAS CHANGED?

The County will not be issuing new fire permits and has disabled the permit application form at this time. Residents with an active fire permit will be contacted and notified whether their permit has been suspended or cancelled.

WHAT IS ALLOWED?

Wood campfires safely held on private land and in campgrounds.
